    What do other posters think about modifying the rues of play so as to include the English meaning with the French word?

    No, no, we have dictionaries and online dicos and by looking it up you find all the synonyms and useage and stuff.

    chrissieb’s “estrade” did that for me. If she had just posted
    “estrade – platform” I might have inferred railway station platform; and I’d have been wrong.

    Good idea of Nifty’s where bilingual members are concerned, but I agree with you, Stewart – as I’m too :-s with the French language to go any further than I do now! :oops:
