    Here we go again!

I’m considerably more intergrated than you!

I think Janes is just trying to establish why people like to give the impression that they live full time in France when they don’t. Perhaps her mistake was using the word “pretend”.

As for retired people living happily, good on them. I think thier opinions are as valid as the next persons. If they’re happy, why should they not say so.

    Live and let live!

Just as it’s annoying to be told that everything in France is wonderful by someone who has retired here,is living on a private income in an isolated rural property and who’s only real contact with French life is picking up the bread each day.!

Id say – you are magnificent! Flag bearer for us all. I spend several weeks in france each year and have plenty of experience to comment on and can give advice / opinion on many a french topic. I have also made great use of other members contributions – thank you.

Build a little bridge and get over it!!

Dont you just love a heated debate?

I notice that about half the responders on this site don’t bother to enter their location anyway!! Wheter it’s France or UK or both.

Why does it just have to be the UK or France? There are other countries in the world too!

Storms out of thread in a huff…

I used to have my town on here but somehow it just disappeared. Mind you, someone was once very rude about it and said I lived in a grotty little town, but that isn’t the reason I haven’t put it back on – just never got round to it.
