    https://www.theguardian.com/money/2017/may/08/are-uk-house-prices-starting-to-fall-the-halifax-thinks-so

    Only small falls so far but maybe a sign of things to come. UK house prices are unsustainable and falling prices are a good thing but how many Brexit voters would agree with that especially those who thought that project fear would never become project reality?

    Reality a? Here today and gone tommorow. Or should I say when the price it right. Alternatively, The pound could go the way of the reichmark, lira and shekel.

    I do not see a connection between brexit and falling property prices. You could blame them for the crappy weather as well as global warming :yes:

    UK property prices have been rising for years and are over priced.

    Nows the time to sell or at least remortgage your overpriced UK property to buy a littlebitofFrance :lol: Need the exchange rate to rise for the perfect conditions.

    Every cloud has a silver lining!

    Seriously I commented some while back that they were showing a high proportion of episodes of “Place in the sun” type programs on France, many were a few years old around the time of la crise and I dont think ever shown, I thought they were wheeling them out as France was once again being pushed to investors/pigeons.

    I also notice lots of thinly disguised sales pitch programs on classic cars at the moment.

    <hr />

    Agreed UK house prices are too high but every psychological feel bad factor helps in the fight against a damaging Brexit especially when falling house prices are blamed on falling living standards and inflation due to guess what. Falling house price predictions and falling living standards predictions were part of the claimed project fear that would not happen according to the crowing Brexiters that are now happening, it was only ever a matter if time.

    The Torygraph has its version of project fear, so sad to see what was once a reasonable paper to read turn into a UKIP propaganda rag.

    See, like I said, every cloud (crappy weather and global warming) has a silver lining.

    I’m having a bit of a rotator cuff problem at the moment Andy, also losing the battle against unwelcome moineaux crapping all over the place, does that help you at all?

    I think Stanley should look in the mirror and say what he can really see.

    What is a rotator cuff problem?

    I like Piaf but house sparrows are vermin and should be treated as such.

    Not relevant to the wider U.K. but opinion on BBC London news the other night was that property prices in Central London were certainly under threat due to the possible loss of some of the high earning jobs in the city, however there seemed to be no sign of a cooling off of the rest of the London housing market.

    It’s worth rememberng that the UK is still in the EU for another 22 months.  The wider implications of being isolationist won’t be apparent until at least the end of the decade and the true extent of the damage could well take a generation to develop by which time a large proportion of the Leave vote will have died and won’t witness their folly.  The writing is on the wall but if you shut your eyes, put your fingers in your ears and go ‘La la la la la’ everything should be OK.
