I read the Bangladeshi curry house owners are appealing for everybody to vote out. The current immigration regs favour EU migrants over those from the home country and they are finding it hard to get someone to knock up a curry…………That’s it job done the curry eaters will have us all out of the EU now !

    From the Guardian today

“Some Brexit campaigners would like to see more immigration from Commonwealth countries. Priti Patel, the employment minister, argued recently that a shortage of curry chefs in the UK’s Indian restaurants had been caused by restrictions on non-EU migration to compensate for the influx from within the EU as the government seeks to cut net immigration.”

    http://www.theguardian.com/media/2016/may/25/eu-referendum-poster-minority-ethnic-voters

These ‘Brexit campaigners’ who would like to see more immigration from the commonwealth have been keeping this idea very much to themselves, haven’t they?

I wonder if the average Brexit voter (if there is one) would still vote that way if they knew this was part of the package!

According to the first specific poll on the subject, Northern Ireland is staying in – 2-to-1 or more in favour (interesting to note that that old protestant/loyalist types are the least interested in being part of the one-big-happy-European-family … but also the least ready to make up their minds!)

The recent Austrian election was decided on 31.000 votes, and even if the UK population is eight times larger, I think the referendum rate of abstention will be significant, so you could well be looking at a margin equally slim. I reckon the Scots and the Irish will decide England’s fate (the Welsh will go with the flow)

Seems odd then that 150000 non EU migrants came into the UK last year. Maybe the real problem has nothing to do with the EU but the new ruling that migrants from outside the EU need to be paid £35k within 5 years or face deportation. £ 35k might be more than they can pay.

Yes a game changer. Quoting a report by http://www.lawyersforbritain.org/
I wouldn’t trust a lawyer who was working for me far less this lot.

“Dozens of Britain’s lawyers have already joined our campaign” wooohoo!!!!! It’s going well for them then.

    Me neither..

This is bloke running the economy who wants you to stay in….

“Osborne was educated at independent schools: Norland Place School, Colet Court and St Paul’s School. In 1990 he was awarded a demyship at Magdalen College, Oxford, where in 1993 he received a 2:1 bachelor’s degree in Modern History. While there he was a member of the Bullingdon Club. He also attended Davidson College in North Carolina for a semester as a Dean Rusk Scholar.

In 1993, Osborne intended to pursue a career in journalism. He was shortlisted for but failed to gain a place on The Times trainee scheme, and instead did freelance work on the Peterborough diary column of The Daily Telegraph Some time later an Oxford friend of his, journalist George Bridges, alerted Osborne to a research vacancy at Conservative Central Office.

    Useful CV of a vankeur!
Not the brightest pebble as a Chancellor.
Metaphorically alone in a bucket and unable to find the handle!

I would lie on top of the stairs and smell the cigar smoke of Castro.

And the lemmings are trusting what he says. Funny thing is this bloke would not be able to get a job on the tills in Intermarche. 2:1 in modern history and worked on the Peterborough diary column. :bye:

    Seriously, vote in

Even more scary, I was studying in Oxford at the same time as him. :yahoo:

    I like this one…

It’s a big leap to make the assumption that people who are voting to stay in are doing so on the basis of anything that useless article has to say. As much as it would be to make the assumption that anyone voting out is a racist Kipper. Folk, at least those with a brain, will make their decision based on what affects their lives, not on the words of the oddball characters who seem to be dominating the debate.
