This is a genuine one from a “green” forum I used to belong to.
Instead of toilet paper keep a selection of old rags, put them next to the toilet to use. Also a bucket of water to soak them in after use.
The trouble is, this advice is followed by advice to wash them all once a week. Perhaps it’s to save paper rather than money.
Another idea on similar lines (as practised in NE England at one time) – tear up old newspapers into squares, pierce a hole in a bunch of them, thread string through and hang on a hook next to the toilet.

You might as well wear a terry nappy like a baby.
Trica you would have to use a quality paper like the Sunday Times,
I am not sure if you thought of this extra saving Clover but with that amount of old knickers about if you put them all in a dark box you could probably grow some mushrooms while you wait to do a wash.

No skid marks in this house I can assure you!
Old shoes, keep the laces you never know when they could be needed. If you catch a burglar and need to tie him up or even the wife if your lucky, saves on buying hand cuffs.

Keep the shoes too.
If you’re really tight, they can be boiled to make a broth.

You know nothing you come on here telling people you can make broth out of old shoes. Shoes are like mushrooms you can not use all of them. If the shoes are made of synthetic materials or made in China and not leather you will end up in AE and not be here on FE

Only an idiot would make broth from synthetic shoes
