Our 5 visitors arrived last night, all with good appetites. So feeling like life is one long cooking session.
Fried mackerel with salads for lunch and just real “fresh” sausages (out the freezer) wrapped in bread tonight.
Already started cooking for tomorrow – one of our own chickens .

Something quite complicated, involving cod, potatoes, tomatoes, fresh oregano, lemons and courgettes.  Every recipe has to involve courgettes at the moment, keeps me awake at night, wondering what to do with them next. Also cucumbers.

I spent two and a half hours this afternoon following a recipe for authentic, as cooked by the Italians, bolognaise sauce.

We have eaten half, the rest will be covered in mash, called a cottage pie and enjoyed with peas.

Coincidence Neville – eldest son cooked spag. bol. tonight. All the more tasty because I didn’t have to make it. He used fresh tomatoes, our own onions, and mince from the freezer.

Mysty – By now you must be a Cordon Bleu cook  all you need to add to pasta and smoked salmon is a little creme fraiche on the pasta. One of my favourite dishes.
I just made salads, and some cold chicken left from last weekend. (kept in freezer.)

Smoked salmon and scrambled egg tonight.
We had the cottage pie (see above) last night, solid hardly does it justice, so a light meal tonight.

Sometimes grease rules. After an afternoon in the garden with the missus & two bottles of chilled rose you can shove yer Haute Cuisine.

Ham,eggs, chips & beans is what my body craved & boy did I enjoy it :yahoo:
