Lianna Blazquez is the owner and founder of the boutique-style company. International Property Hunter was created in 2017 after Lianna’s journey to becoming a homeowner in France highlighted a lack of support for property buyers.

The real-estate landscape in France can be quite different to other countries and this can be daunting to those who are unfamiliar and who may also have a language barrier.

“Personally, I remember finding the process confusing, stressful and highly time-consuming. At the time, my children were very young, my husband and I were working long hours and we had to view dozens of properties. Some of our frustrations came from: having to cross-check sites to identify whether a property was on exclusively or whether it was listed with several agents at different prices and from not being given a property’s location before a visit. In France, the location of a property is often not communicated before the time of the viewing to protect the agent as some buyers try to bypass the agent/agency. Even though we understood why a location couldn’t be disclosed prior to our visit, it often translated into a lot of wasted energy and additional stress”.

In 2017, Lianna decided to take her past degrees (BA from the University of Southampton in the UK, MBA from the Toulouse Business School) as well as her professional work experience (Communication Consultant at a renowned international firm) to change career path and become the holder of the carte professionnelle, which is a French real estate license to open a company to focus solely on the buyer’s experience.

1. Property hunting A: this service is for individuals who are looking for support for the entirety of their project and requires both parties to sign an Exclusive Search Agreement. Included in the service:

property profiling
visits
property reports (photos, videos, etc.)
property selections (live tours can be arranged if you’re not able to join)
negotiation, offer and notary support.
calls, emails, zoom meetings, etc. for the entirety of the mission.
access to my network of bilingual experts (notaries, mortgage brokers, currency brokers, builders, etc.).

2. Buyer support services – A la carte

This service is designed to help buyers who have either found the property of their dreams or enjoying searching to still be able to seek advice when needed: the feasibility of their project, estimating a property’s value, advice about making an offer and/or the notary procedures that follow, etc…
