Wine, Wisdom, and Financial Clarity

There’s a particular kind of morning that only happens in Provence in early autumn: the morning light turns gold, the vines are harvested, and everyone seems to be in less of a hurry than usual. On the 1st of October, we’d like to borrow a couple of hours of that morning with you.

Le Tour de Finance – “where money talks.”

These events have been running for more than 10 years and number in excess of 150. They bring relaxed, genuinely useful financial conversations and open forums to expatriates across Europe.

No stuffy conference rooms, no hard sell, no jargon-for-jargon’s-sake. Just good information, delivered by people who know the terrain, in glorious locations worth visiting anyway. This time, that place is Le Domaine de la Citadelle in Ménerbes, a working vineyard in the Luberon with its own small claim to fame: a museum of over 1,200 corkscrews, spanning three centuries of remarkably inventive engineering devoted entirely to the noble goal of opening a bottle of wine.

The event itself runs from 10am to midday on Thursday 1st October, and it’s built around the questions that tend to follow anyone who moves their life across a border: What happens to my pension now? Am I structured efficiently for French tax? Is my portfolio actually working for me, or just sitting there? A small panel of specialists – from The Spectrum IFA Group, Prudential International, Utmost Pan Europe, New Horizon Asset Management, and AGN Avocats, will walk through expatriate financial planning, coordinated tax strategy, and where the investment markets currently stand, in plain language and short, digestible sessions rather than one long lecture. There’s plenty of room for questions, and even more room for the kind of one-to-one conversation that a formal seminar rarely allows.

And then, because this is Le Tour de Finance, and because it’s Provence… there’s lunch. A proper buffet, with the Domaine’s own wine, taken outside if the weather cooperates (it usually does). Afterwards, attendees get free entry to that museum, and a 5% discount in the wine shop on the way out, which feels like exactly the right way to close out a morning that started with investments and ended with rosé.

Who should come? Honestly, anyone living the expatriate life in this part of France who has ever had a nagging feeling they should “get around to sorting out” their finances properly. You don’t need a complicated portfolio or a specific problem to justify an invitation – half the value is simply hearing what questions other people in your situation are asking, over a glass of wine, from advisers who aren’t trying to sell you anything in the room.

It’s a free event, but spaces are limited, so a little advance notice helps. To reserve your place, drop a line to [email protected] with your name and contact details, or register through the Le Tour de Finance website: www.ltdf.eu

Bringing trusted international financial experts closer to you – We’d love to see you there.
