According to nutritionist Michela Vagnini, red wine is packed full of a powerful antioxidant called resveratrol, which not only protects you from harmful free radicals but also boosts cell replication and delays premature aging. And it gets better – resveratrol can even turn additional weigh into ‘brown’ fat, which actually helps you to burn calories and eradicate harmful fats from the body.
According to a recent study, there has never been a drug in the history of pharmaceuticals that’s capable of speeding up cell regeneration at the same rate as resveratrol. I’ve heard enough – I’m going to pour me a nice large glass of vin rouge to go with my extra-calorific dinner tonight!
