AVF is a national association (registered under the French law of 1901) with 350 local branches throughout France (local A.V.F) non confessional, non political, run by trained volunteers. Its purpose is to provide a service for those who move for professional reasons to a new environment.

BritsNîmes is a non-profit association.
Membership is open to individuals and families. They are always delighted to have new members.

BritsNîmes attracts members from all nationalities who are interested in speaking the English language.Some have lived in the area for many years, others are recent arrivals, most of them live in Nîmes and the Gard. The regular get-togethers allow everybody to exchange experiences about life in France and allow children to meet and befriend other bi-lingual youngsters. Members are there to give each other a helping hand.

BritsNîmes organises monthly social and cultural activities, like walks, coffee mornings, lunches, social events, bookclubs, crafts, visits, talks, music evenings, these are very varied and designed to help people to get to know the area, make new friends, and very important meet and make also local friends.

British Association for the Alpes-Maritimes and Var

The British Association upholds, promotes and communicates the interests of its members, their families, friends and visitors in these areas and provides advice and help to those in need, hardship and financial distress. It also organizes casual informal get-togethers, functions and entertainment for members, friends and visitors of all age groups.

British Association Monaco

The British Association of Monaco is registered in Monaco as an independent Association to promote the well-being and to protect the interests of the members of the British and Commonwealth community residing in Monaco and surrounding districts. The association aims to assist the members of this community and promote the existing and historical friendly relationship with the Principality.

British Community Association, Lille

The BCA is a friendly, non-profit making association with the objective of promoting social and cultural activities among British people who are living permanently or temporarily in the Lille area, with their families and friends. It also unites Anglophones in the Lille area. The yearly programme also includes visits to towns and museums in the region, hikes, social evenings, and meals out. New ideas are always welcome! Regular Newsletters give details of forthcoming events, diary dates and general information.

The British Community Committee

The committee exists to co-ordinate the activities of the British social, educational and other organizations in the Paris region. The Committee also sometimes represents the British community on all official or social occasions of importance.

The English Speaking Open House Cultural Association

Open House was founded in 1987 to support the growing English-speaking population in Grenoble and the surrounding area. We have currently more than 150 members and their families, from 27 countries, all of whom are linked by the English language and the fact that they are living, or have lived, as expats.

The Interesting Gardening Club:

The club supports and encourages British gardeners, and promotes an exchange of current and traditional gardening ideas. French members are very welcome as local knowledge is all important. The IGC mainly draws its members from the Dordogne and the Charente but is open to all in the region of Aquitaine.
