Film review: Hôtel Normandy

Film review: Hôtel Normandy

Director: Charles Nemes Cert: TBC Running time: 97 mins

Alice (Helena Noguerra) is about to celebrate her 40th birthday, her friends club together to send her on a luxury break at the dreamy seafront Hôtel Normandy in Deauville. Having lost her husband in a motorcycle accident a few years before, Alice’s two closest pals, Penelope (Anne Girouard) and Isabelle (Frédérique Bel), have also hatched a plan to send romance her way. Blissfully unaware of this, Alice seems perfectly happy in her own company – enjoying the pampering experience, attending an art exhibition and dining like a queen in the evenings. An attractive woman, she catches the eye of a number of eligible bachelors. But will the man of her dreams turn out to be the one her friends have picked? This had us hooked! ★★★★
