Book review: Taschen’s Paris

Taschen’s paris

Angelika Taschen, with photos by Vincent Knapp, Taschen, £27.99

The publishers Taschen are always on-trend when it comes to chic places to stay, eat and shop, and few cities better deserve the chunky style bible treatment than Paris.

The author, Taschen’s very own Angelika, who’s edited and published books for more than 25 years, pointedly notes that Paris might be the city of love, but it is also the centre of fashion, perfume, chocolate champagne and oysters!

Of course, many of the places featured herein, such as the Four Seasons Hotel George V or the Chanel boutique, aren’t for the weak of wallet. But that’s not the point – it’s all about the dream. A beautiful book. ★★★★
